Making a donation through the University Hospital Foundation’s Champions of Care program provides you with the opportunity to say thank you to the person who changed and saved your life – or the life of someone you love.  At the same time, you recognize and support the excellent work that saves and changes lives every day at the University of Alberta Hospital, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic.

By honouring someone who has made a meaningful difference in your life with a gift to the
University Hospital Foundation, you’re letting them know their efforts are noticed and valued.

Your Champion of Care will receive a pin to wear with pride. Units will receive a framed certificate to display. Your gift will support research, equipment and technology to advance the work your Champion does, each and every day – allowing them to change and save more lives.

University Hospital Foundation staff will present the pin or framed certificate to your Champion of Care, along with any personal message you share with us. The amount of your donation will not be shared with your Champion of Care.

Yes! If you make your donation online, your charitable tax receipt will be emailed to you. If you make your donation over the phone or through the mail, your charitable tax receipt will be mailed to you.

Yes, you can designate your gift to a specific area of care. Simply select the area of care in the drop down menu on the online donation form. Or let us know which area you’d like to support when you call or mail your gift.
